Intel Introduces Intel Xeon E3-1200 v6 Processor Family > The world’s leading processor manufacturer, the American corporation Intel, has introduced a new family of devices based on the Kaby Lake microarchitecture – the Intel Xeon E3-1200 v6. New items are produced using 14-nanometer technology. It is based on four cores and 8 MB of L3 cache. According to the manufacturer, the Xeon E3-1200 is characterized by increased performance, memory support up to DDR4-2400, improved information security and a new graphics core Intel HD Graphics 630. New processor models can be used in entry-level servers and workstations in conjunction with the C232 and C236 chipsets . Xeon E3-1220 v6 starts at 3.0 GHz, followed by Xeon E3-1225 v6 (3.3 GHz), Xeon E3-1230 v6 (3.5 GHz), Xeon E3-1240 v6 and Xeon E3-1245 v6 (3.7 GHz), Xeon E3-1270 v6 and Xeon E3-1275 v6 (3.8 GHz), and finally the older version – Xeon E3-1280 v6 (3.9 GHz). Processors whose numbers end with the number 5 are equipped with a graphics core and have a TDP of 73 watts. The rest have a TDP of 72W.
